donateAll donation amounts are appreciated. A charitable receipt will be provided for donations of $10 or more.

What Your Money Can Do

Your gift of:

  • $25 can provide a learner with a workbook and basic supplies for six months.
  • $50 can help provide supplies for a learner for one year.
  • $100 can help to update our library with current materials that are appropriate for adult learners.

Your donation in any amount of money can help cover the costs to:

  • arrange workshops for tutors
  • assess learners and design programs to meet their individual needs
  • match learners with appropriate tutors
  • maintain the library for learner and tutor use
  • provide tutoring space
  • monitor learner progress and update their programs

We publish the names of private donors annually in our newsletter. If you would like to remain anonymous, please let us know. We do not sell or give our donor lists to others. We do not phone to solicit donations.

Tax receipts will be issued automatically for donations over $10.

LiteracyWORKS is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and supporters and ensures that personal information remains confidential. The information collected remains on file and is used to assist with the running of the literacy program.

Funders may request information for statistical reporting, which we are obligated to provide. We collect, use and disclose personal information only for the purpose that a reasonable person would consider appropriate given our position.
